This holiday accommodation is part of our farm bungalow, which was built in 1976.  We love to have people staying with us to share the peace and beauty of this location, which is on the very edge of a rural hamlet with no through traffic.

You will have your own en-suite accommodation, with use of the Conservatory (looking out onto our fields where there are North Devon heifers grazing) and a modern fully fitted kitchen.

General Information on our farm:

The land:

Our farm is 21 acres, on which we have a variety of livestock; pretty black Berkshire show-pigs, 7 or 8 cows and calves, chickens, ducks & geese. All livestock is kept outdoors in non-intensive conditions, far enough away from your accommodation not to be a problem, but near enough for you to visit if you’d like to!

The whole farm is converted to ‘Soil Association’ Organic Standards.

Our land is completely unsprayed by chemicals and is being set up as a conservation area; a little haven for wildlife. We have the ubiquitous foxes and badgers, buzzards, sparrow hawks, fieldfare, redwings etc. etc. There is an undulating walk around the land (which you are welcome to follow as often as you like) from the far side of which there are spectacular views across to HayTor on Dartmoor, and out to Torquay and Torbay.

Parking.

If you are bringing a boat / trailer, you can enter the property with confidence as there is plenty of room for turning. When into the grounds there are obvious positions for unhitching, or just park inside the grounds and assess the location on foot.

Parking for solo cars is adjacent the bungalow, on the gravel drive between the bungalow and the garden. Or you can park a few yards further down, adjacent to the sheds.  In wet weather the path can be a little muddy - you are on a farm and it isn't all tarmac!
